Romina Sylvia Achatz (born in Villach ) is an Austrian director , radio producer , performer and writer . She is best known for the documentary Bare Life.

life and work

Achatz studied theater, film and media studies and film in Vienna ( Friedl Kubelka's film school ), Rome and Prague. She graduated on "The Bodies of Politics in the Work of Pier Paolo Pasolini ". Achatz received a scholarship as part of the PhD research team "Artistic Self-Techniques" at the University for Artistic and Industrial Design in Linz . She did her doctorate in cultural studies on the subject of “The breath of the impersonal. De-subjectivation and the thinking of the outside in the dance of Ko Murobushi ”. In 2013 Romina Achatz and the Japanese choreographer Minako Seki gave performative lectures on dance and imagination at universities in Berlin and Frankfurt am Main.
