Rompeprop is a Dutch grindcore band from Eindhoven .

history

The band Rompeprop was formed in 1999 by Jores du True (drums), Dirty Dr. Dente (guitar) and Steven Smegma (vocals) who wanted to make music similar to their role models Impetigo and Haemorrhage . The band itself sees 2001 as the official starting point, when they joined forces with bassist Micheil the Menstrual Mummy.

As the first musical sign of life, the EP Menstrual Stomphulk was released on the Dutch music label Dismemberment Records in 2002 ; a year later the debut album Hellcock's Pornflakes followed via Bizarre Leprous Production from the Czech Republic . In 2004 singer Steven Smegma dropped out for health reasons and guitarist Dirty Dr. Dente also took over the vocals. When bassist Micheil the Menstrual Mummy moved to Switzerland for professional reasons in 2007, BoneBag Rob became his successor.

Club concerts and festivals such as the Obscene Extreme led the band in Europe a. a. to the Czech Republic, Portugal, Spain and Russia as well as intercontinental a. a. to the USA, Canada and Mexico.
