Romulus Linney (playwright)

Romulus Linney (born September 21, 1930 in Philadelphia , † January 15, 2011 in Germantown ) was an American screenwriter.

His adaptation of the novella A Lesson Before Dying and The Love Suicide at Schofield Barracks gained particular fame . In 1998 he was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and in 2002 to the American Academy of Arts and Letters .

His daughter is the actress Laura Linney .
