Ronald Larsen

Ronald John Larsen (born January 1, 1930 in Chicago ) is an American mathematician who studied analysis.

Larsen studied at Michigan State University with a bachelor's degree in 1957 and a master's degree in 1959 and received his doctorate in 1964 from Stanford University under Karel de Leeuw (Almost invariant measures). From 1963 to 1965 he was an instructor at Yale University . In 1965 he became an assistant professor at Cowell College, University of California, Santa Cruz , which he remained until 1970. In 1968/69 he was on a Fulbright-Hayes scholarship at the University of Oslo (and again in 1973/74). 1970 to 1975 he was Associate Professor at Wesleyan University and 1975/76 Visiting Associate Professor at the State University of New York in Binghamton and 1976/77 in Albany. 1977/78 he was Adjunct Associate Professor at Clarkson College of Technology.
