Rongai is a city of about 25,000 people in Nakuru County in Kenya .

Rongai is located about 30 km west of the county capital Nakuru on the A 104 and is a stop on the Uganda railway . The branch line of the Uganda Railway to Solai has now been shut down again, but the tracks are still there.
Infrastructure
In addition to several schools, Rongai has an agricultural college and a health center.
Attractions
The station building from colonial times is well preserved and houses the signal circuit that is still functional.
Others
The film Nirgendwo in Afrika by Caroline Link , based on Stefanie Zweig's autobiographical novel , was partly shot at the original locations in Rongai.
