The Rongel Point (English; Bulgarian нос Ронжел nos Ronschel ) is a non-iced headland on the south coast of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is located 3.14 km north-north-west of Cape Hesperides and 2.92 km west of Aleko Rock on the north-west bank of Emona Anchorage Bay .
The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named them in 1997 based on the naming of the neighboring Rongel Reef . It is named after the Brazilian ship Ary Rongel , which was deployed in 1996 to provide logistical support to Bulgarian scientists in this area.
