Emona Anchorage (English; Bulgarian Заливът Емона Saliwat Emona ) is a natural harbor on the south coast of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It lies at the head of the South Bay between Cape Hesperides and an unnamed headland 3 km north-northwest of it. Its deepest point in the center with over 100 m is north-northwest of Spanish Point .
The bay serves as an anchorage for ships supplying the Bulgarian St. Kliment-Ohridski station . The Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 1994 after the Bulgarian town of Emona near Cape Emine . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee translated the Bulgarian name into English in 1997.
