Ronnie Raymond
Ronnie Raymond , actually Ron Liles (born June 30, 1946 ; † January 26, 2015 ), was a British theater and film actor, mainly in roles for children and young people, who mainly appeared in the Miss Marple film at 4:50 p.m. from Paddington at the side of Margaret Rutherford became known.
life and career
Raymond's acting career was predetermined by his mother, who worked as a dancer and whose maiden name he used as a stage name. He gained his first stage experience at an early age. B. in theatrical versions of Oliver Twist and Der kleine Lord . From 1958 he was also seen on television. In 1959 he played alongside Julie Andrews in the BBC Christmas musical The Gentle Flame , and in 1961 in the series Frontier Drums in the role of Nigel Chrichton . Because of his growing popularity, he was selected by director George Pollock for the role of Alexander Eastley in the film 4:50 p.m. from Paddington . Here he was dubbed in the original English version due to his broken voice . After that film, he was only seen once in the television series The Big Pull . He then retired from the acting business, then initially worked as a disc jockey and later as an undertaker in Buckinghamshire .
Ronnie Raymond died of cancer on January 26, 2015 at the age of 68.
