Ronny Fredrik Ansnes (born June 28, 1989 - July 15, 2018 ) was a Norwegian cross-country skier .

Career

Ansnes has mainly participated in the Scandinavian Cup since 2007 . He finished in the top ten nine times and was sixth overall in the 2012/13 season . He ran his first of a total of five World Cup races in Drammen in February 2011 , which he finished classically with 13th place over 15 km and thus also won his first and only World Cup points. In December 2011 he reached his first podium in the World Cup with second place in the relay in Sjusjøen . In March 2013 he won the Rensfjell race over 58 km classic.

Ansnes was found drowned in the Resa River on July 16, 2018 . He presumably died on July 15, 2018.
