Rooty Toot Toot is a 1951 American animated short film directed by John Hubley .

action

Young Frankie is on trial for the murder of her boyfriend Johnny. Two witnesses testify: The barman claims that Johnny came into his bar and disappeared in the back room with the singer Nelly Bly. When Frankie came into the bar and found out about this, she went into the back room and a shot was fired. Nelly Bly says she only wanted to rehearse on the piano with Johnny, but the jealous Frankie shot her boyfriend through the door. Nelly opened the door and saw Frankie in front of it with a gun in hand.

Frankie's defense attorney presents the "real story": Frankie is an innocent being who prefers to sit in her flower garden. Frankie picked flowers from her garden one day and used them to advertise them, but Frankie turned him down. Suddenly he furiously pulled out a pistol and shot at her. The shots were deflected in such a way that they followed him, whereupon he dropped his pistol and fled into the bar, where the shots finally caught up with him and shot him. Frankie, who only wanted to carry the pistol against him, appeared in the bar shortly after Johnny's death and brought the pistol.

When the defense attorney states that he would even marry dear Frankie, the jury no longer needs to think about it: Frankie is acquitted. The defender celebrates his victory and dances with Nelly Bly in the courtroom. Frankie gets angry and shoots her defense attorney with Exhibit Number 1, the pistol. She is arrested and detained.
