The Roper Point is a mostly ice-covered headland with some rocky outcrops in the West Antarctic Marie Byrd Land . This is located on the western foothills of Mount Takahe .

The United States Geological Survey mapped the formation based on its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1959 to 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1967 after Nathaniel A. Roper, aurora researcher at Byrd Station in 1963.
