Rory McCann (born April 24, 1969 in Glasgow , Scotland ) is a British actor .
Life
Rory McCann's acting career began with the film Ratcatcher , which was released in 1999. This was followed by other roles in numerous television series and television films, until he received a role in the film Alexander in 2004 . The following year he appeared in Beowulf & Grendel . Other internationally known films with his participation were Hot Fuzz , which was released in 2007, and the Clash of the Titans , which appeared in theaters in 2010 .
From 2011 to 2014 he was in the first four seasons as Sandor Clegane in the HBO series Game of Thrones . In 2016 he returned to the same role and played it in the final eighth season until 2019.
