The Roscolyn Gate is a high rock formation of sandstone in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Allan Hills, it rises one mile southwest of Warren Peak .
It was explored in 1964 by a team working in the Allan Hills as part of the New Zealand Antarctic Research Program . This named him after a similar rock formation on the Welsh island of Anglesey .
