Rose Glass

Rose Glass (* around 1990 in Chelmsford ) is a British screenwriter and film director .

Life

Rose Glass was born near Chelmsford, Essex and studied film at the London College of Communication . In 2014 she graduated from the National Film and Television School with a Masters in Directing. Her graduation film Room 55 has been shown at the South by Southwest Film Festival , the Palm Springs ShortFest and the London Short Film Festival , among others .

After a series of, partly experimental, music videos and mystery and horror short films, Glass made her feature film debut as a director with Saint Maud . The film premiered at Fantastic Fest in September 2019. In the horror film, a nurse takes care of her patients with great devotion, but turns into a religious madness when she believes that only she can save the soul of her terminally ill patient Amanda.
