Rose Tremain
Lady Rose Tremain DBE , FRSL (* 2. August 1943 in London as Rose Thomson ) is a British writer . She lives with the biographer Richard Holmes in Norfolk .
Tremain studied at the Sorbonne and completed her English studies at the University of East Anglia in 1967 . There she was a lecturer in creative writing from 1988 to 1995. She published novels and short stories, but also wrote radio plays and screenplays for television films. Her works have received numerous awards. Her novel Zeit der Sinnlichkeit was filmed in 1995 with Robert Downey Jr., Hugh Grant and Meg Ryan ( Restoration ).
