Rose Veldtkirch ; Born Rose Ludmilla Karoline Frommel (born June 2, 1891 in Altlandsberg , Brandenburg , † September 27, 1971 in Vigarello , Ticino ) was a German actress .

Life

After graduating from high school, Rose Veldtkirch trained as an actress and soprano. On the German Art Theater in Berlin in 1913 she went to her first engagement. In 1914 she went to Dresden, but returned to Berlin in 1915, where she worked for several years at the theater in Königgrätzer Straße and at the Komödienhaus.

From 1914 she took on leading roles in German silent films, her first film was Das Haus ohne Tür , which was also Stellan Rye's last film. Since the mid-20s she has been concentrating on her stage work again. As a voice actress she lent her voice to Merle Oberon in The Scarlet Flower . She also tried herself as a singer, lute player and writer.
