The Rosenhof in Osnabrück

The Rosenhof in Osnabrück is one next to Hyde Park and the OsnabrückHalle the major concert and event venues in the city. It is located on Rosenplatz on the southern edge of downtown Osnabrück .

history

The building, which opened in 1953 and has since been used as a cinema under the name Rosenhof-Lichtspiele , was closed at the beginning of the 21st century following the bankruptcy of the operating company. After there had been plans for a new use as a cultural and district center on the part of a provider of the local gastronomy scene, the former cinema was finally converted into a privately operated event center. Since then, the Rosenhof has been one of the most important institutions on the Osnabrück event scene as a nationally important venue for concerts and parties as well as comedy programs and readings of various kinds.

The event agency Goldrush Productions is located in the Rosenhof, which also organizes the annual Schlossgarten Open Air music festival in Osnabrück .
