Rosie Cheng (born August 1, 1998 in Auckland ) is a New Zealand tennis player .

Career

Cheng plays mostly on the ITF Women's Circuit .

At the Australian Open 2014 she started in the junior singles , where she won 6: 4 and 6: 4 in the first round against Fanny Stollár in the first round, against Tereza Mihalíková in the second round with 4: 6, 6: 3 and 1: 6 lost. In the junior doubles she and her partner Natálie Novotná lost in the first round.

She made her debut on the WTA Tour at the ASB Classic 2015 in her hometown of Auckland, for which she and partner Katherine Westbury received a wildcard for the doubles competition. However, the pairing already lost their opening match against Petra Martić / Anna Tatishvili . For the qualification for the ASB Classic 2016 she received a wildcard again.

She has not contested a professional match since the end of 2016 and is no longer in the world rankings.
