Ross MacKenzie
Ross MacKenzie (born July 18, 1946 in Balmoral , British Columbia ) is a retired Canadian sprinter .
In 1966 he won silver at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Kingston with the Canadian 4-by-440-yard relay. Over 220 yards he was eliminated in the quarterfinals and over 440 yards in the semifinals.
At the Pan American Games in 1967 he was fifth over 400 m and won another silver medal in the 4 x 400 meter relay .
In 1968 he reached the semifinals at the Olympic Games in Mexico City over 400 m , where he set up his personal best in the quarter-finals with 46.15 s, and failed in the 4-by-400-meter relay in the preliminary run.
In 1966 he became Canadian champion over 440 yards.
