Ross Miner (born January 24, 1991 in Burlington , Vermont ) is an American figure skater who starts in a single run .

Miner started ice skating at the age of three. He also played ice hockey up to the age of twelve . Then began professional training at the Boston figure skating club. Despite initially having great difficulties with the jumps, Mark Mitchell and Peter Johansson agreed to train him.

In 2011, Miner reached the podium at the US championships for the first time with third place and qualified for his first world championship . He finished this in eleventh place.

In 2012, Miner won the bronze medal at the Four Continents Championships .

In 2012 and 2013, Miner won bronze medals at the NHK Trophy .

In 2013, Miner was runner-up in the US. In his second participation in the world championships , he finished 14th.

In the following two years, Miner could not qualify for international championships. Even in his Grand Prix appearances , he was unable to build on his earlier successes. It was not until November 2015 that he managed to win a medal again when he took part in the Cup of Russia for the first time. With personal best performances in the short program, freestyle and overall performance, he won bronze.
