Iryna Varwynez is one of the most successful junior biathletes of her generation in Ukraine. She competed in her first international races at the 2009 Junior World Championships in Canmore , where she was 39th of the individual, 27th of a sprint and 28th of the pursuit. With Lidiya Shek and Julija Dschyma she just missed a medal in fourth place. A year later she was in Torsby 25th of the individual, 21st of the sprint and pursuit and with Anastasiya Merkuschina and Julija Bryhynez fifth of the relay competition. Shortly thereafter, she took part for the first time in the junior races of the European Championships 2010 in Otepää , where she was 35th in the individual, 29th in the sprint and 27th in the pursuit. In the further course of the year she also took part in the junior races of the 2010 Summer Biathlon World Championships in Duszniki-Zdrój and finished 22nd in the sprint and 24th in the pursuit. The 2011 Junior World Championships in Nové Město na Moravě were very successful . Warwynez was 13th of the sprint and missed the medal places by just a few places as sixth in the pursuit and fourth in the individual. With Bryhynez and Merkuschyna she won the silver medal in the relay race behind Russia. Then Warwynez started again in the junior races of the European Championships in Ridnaun , where she again just missed a medal as fourth of the individual, eighth in the sprint and 20th in the pursuit and seventh with the mixed relay. In summer she started again in the junior races of the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2011 in Nové Město na Moravě and also just missed a medal here with Julija Dschyma, Wolodymyr Morawskyj and Oleksandr Dachno in fourth place. She finished seventh in the Sprint and Pursuit.
The junior races of the European Championships 2012 in Osrblie were particularly successful for Warwynez . The Ukrainian won the silver medal in the sprint behind Nija Dimitrova and the title in the pursuit race. She completed the set of medals with the bronze medal in the mixed relay race, which she won with Merkuschina, Moravskyy and Dachno. She was tenth in the singles. Also at the Junior World Championships 2012 in Kontiolahti she won the bronze medal with Alla Gylenko and Jana Bondar in the relay race. In the individual she just missed another medal in fourth place against Jelena Badanina , in the sprint she was 18th, in the pursuit race seventh. At the junior races of the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2011 in Ufa , she just missed the medal ranks in fourth place in the sprint, in the sprint behind Olga Podchufarowa and with Bryhynez, Dachno and Dmytro Pidrutschnyj in the mixed relay race with behind Russia she won the vice world championship title. The last time Warwynez took part in the Junior World Championships was in Obertilliach in 2013 and won the runner-up world championship with Bryhynez and Gylenko behind Germany. In the sprint, Warwynez was 23rd, in pursuit and individual 13th. At the junior races of the European Championships 2013 in Bansko she was 15th, in the sprint fifth and in the pursuit race eighth. She was appointed to the women for the relay race.
At the start of the 2010/11 season , Warwynez immediately won first points in the second highest racing series in the international biathlon in her first race in the women’s IBU Cup in Beitostølen with 17th place in a sprint. In the following sprint she achieved her best result so far in the IBU Cup with 16th place in a sprint. The first major event for women was the 2013 European Championships, where she initially competed with the juniors, but was appointed to the women's team for the relay race. With Julija Dschyma, Jana Bondar and Marija Panfilowa she won the bronze medal in the race. At the 2013 Winter Universiade in Trentino , she won silver with Jana Bondar , Vitaly Kiltschyzkyj and Dmytro Pidrutschnyj in the mixed relay.
