Olga Vladimirovna Podchufarowa ( Russian Ольга Владимировна Подчуфарова ; born August 5, 1992 in Moscow ) is a Russian biathlete .

Career

Olga Podchufarowa competed in her first international race as part of the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2011 in Nové Město na Moravě , where she won the title with the mixed relay, in the sprint in fourth place narrowly missed a medal and in the pursuit race behind Monika Hojnisz and in front of Olga Galitsch became vice world champion of the juniors. In the junior races of the European Biathlon Championships in 2012 in Osrblie , she again missed a medal in fourth place in the sprint, and did not take part in the pursuit race. The 2012 summer biathlon world championships for women in Ufa followed . In Russia she could all three possible titles in the sprint, the pursuit and with Olga Kalina , Alexei Kornew and Anton Babikow in the mixed relay race. In Obertilliach Podchufarowa missed the medal ranks only as 12th of the individual at the Biathlon Junior World Championships 2013 . In the sprint she had to admit defeat to Laura Dahlmeier , who she was able to leave behind in the pursuit race and became world champion. She was third in the relay race.

In the women's category, Podchufarowa made her debut at the IBU Cup races at the start of the 2012/13 season in Idre , where she immediately won points as 20th in a sprint. After her good results at the Junior World Championships, she also made her debut in the Biathlon World Cup . In Sochi she missed the points as the 58th of a sprint, in Khanty-Mansiysk she won first points in a sprint as 30th and in the pursuit race as 26th. With her 26th points she was 74th overall . At the beginning of the 2013/14 season , Podchufarowa reached fifth place in Idre for the first time a single-digit placement in the IBU Cup, a week later she won her first IBU Cup race in Beitostølen with a single.

At the Olympic Winter Games in 2014 , she reached 49th place in the individual over 15 km.
