Alexei Alexandrowitsch Kornew ( Russian Алексей Александрович Корнев ; born July 21, 1991 in Elektrostal , Moscow Oblast ) is a Russian biathlete .

Alexei Kornew made his international debut as part of the junior races of the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2012 in Ufa , where, after finishing sixth in the sprint, he finished third in the pursuit race behind Pyotr Pashchenko and Alexander Pechonkin and won the bronze medal with Olga Podchufarova , Olga Kalina and Anton Babikow in mixed - Relay race won the gold medal.

It was not until the 2014/15 season that Kornew came to further international assignments and thus his first race in the IBU Cup .
