Nija Dimitrova ( Bulgarian Ния Димитрова ; born June 24, 1993 ) is a Bulgarian biathlete .

Nija Dimitrova starts for Aleksandar Logistics . She made her international debut in 2009 as part of an IBU Cup sprint in Bansko and, when she finished sixth, immediately reached a top ten position and won her first points. It was also the best placement in the second highest racing series in biathlon for the Bulgarian. The first major event was the junior roller ski races at the 2009 Summer Biathlon World Championships in Oberhof , where she was 23rd in the sprint and pursuit. At the start of the 2009/10 season , Dimitrova made her debut in the Biathlon World Cup in Östersund and was 82nd in the sprint. In Torsby she took part in the biathlon junior world championships in 2010 and reached the placements 27 in the individual, 18 in the sprint, 16 in the pursuit and six with the relay. Shortly thereafter, she started in the junior races of the 2010 European Biathlon Championships in Otepää and was 33rd in the individual, 16th in the sprint, 20th in the pursuit and six in the mixed relay. At the Biathlon Junior World Championships 2011 in Nové Město na Moravě , the Bulgarian was 21st of the individual, 36th of the sprint, 21st of the pursuit and again sixth with the Bulgarian relay. The junior races at the European Biathlon Championships 2011 in Ridnaun followed again . There Dimitrova reached the ranks 23 in the individual, nine in the sprint, 19 in the pursuit and nine with the mixed relay. Then she came in Khanty-Mansiysk for her first race in a biathlon world championship . In the individual, she finished 72nd, was 86th in the sprint, was 25th in the mixed relay with Dessislawa Stojanowa , Miroslaw Kenanow and Martin Bogdanow and 12th in the women's relay with Emilija Jordanowa , Nina Klenowska and Stojanowa. Later in the year she started in the junior races of the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2011 in Nove Mesto and came in sixth in the sprint and pursuit and won the bronze medal in the relay race with Stefani Popowa, Ivan Slatew and Anton Sinapov. In the 2011/12 season Dimitrova was able to improve her best performance in the World Cup several times up to 46th place in a sprint in Hochfilzen .

In 2009 Dimitrova took part in some FIS races and races of the Balkan Cup in cross-country skiing . In Vitosha , she won an FIS race.
