Vitaliy Jaroslawowytsch Kiltschyzkyj ( Ukrainian Віталій Ярославович Кільчицький , also English Vitaliy Kilchytskyy ; born June 17, 1988 in Novojaworiwsk , Lviv Oblast , Ukrainian SSR , USSR ) is a Ukrainian biathlete .

Vitaly Kiltschyzkyj took part in five biathlon junior world championships between 2005 and 2009 and three times between 2007 and 2009 in competitions of the juniors at the European biathlon championships . In 2005 he was in Kontiolahti 26th in the sprint, 13th in the pursuit and won the bronze medal with the relay. A year later in Presque Isle came the ranks 29 in the individual, 24 in the sprint and nine in the pursuit. In the relay he was used in both the youth and junior races and was seventh and tenth. In the further course of the year he also started in the junior races of the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2006 in Ufa , where he was fifth in the sprint and tenth in the pursuit in the competitions on roller skis . Since the 2006/07 season he also took part in junior competitions of the European Cup, which later became the IBU Cup . Kiltschyzkyj started in 2007 at three major events. First he was in Martell at the Junior World Championships 29th in the individual, 26th in the sprint, 17th in the pursuit and fifth in the relay, then at the EM in Bansko 23rd in the individual, eleventh in the sprint and tenth in the pursuit. With Vitaliy Kozhushko, Artem Pryma and Oleksandr Kolos he won the bronze medal in the relay race. In the summer he took part in the Summer World Cup again and was fifth in the sprint and eighth in the pursuit on rollerskis in Otepää . For the fourth time, the Ukrainian took part in a Junior World Championship in Ruhpolding in 2008 . In Germany he reached 14th place in the individual, 33 in the sprint, 32 in the pursuit and seven in the relay. At the European Championships in Nové Město na Moravě came 46th in the individual, 22nd in the sprint, 14th in the pursuit race and with Vitaliy Kozhushko, Andriy Vozniak and Artem Pryma third place in the relay. The Ukrainian competed for the last time in a Junior World Championship in Canmore in 2009, where he finished 28th in the individual, 30th in the sprint and 40th in the pursuit. In the relay race he just missed a second World Championship medal in fourth place. Kiltschyzkyj also last started at the junior competitions of the Biathlon European Championships in Ufa in 2009. In the individual, he came in eighth place, was 18th in the sprint, eleventh in the pursuit and won silver in the relay race with Mykhaylo Serdyuk, Vitaliy Sokolyuk and Nasarij Buryk . In Oberhof , he again took part in the Summer Biathlon World Championships in 2009 , where he was tenth in the sprint, 15th in the pursuit and fourth in the relay. Since then, Kiltschyzkyj has competed in the men's performance area.

Kiltschyzkyj started the 2008/09 season in Idre for the first time in the IBU Cup and was placed 26th in a sprint immediately in the points. In 2011 he achieved his first single-digit result as eighth of an individual in Nové Město and at the same time his best result in this racing series so far. In the biathlon world cup he made his debut in Pokljuka in the middle of the 2009/10 season , where he was 70th in a sprint. In the further course of the season he was used again in Ruhpolding, where he was 12th on the side of Oleksandr Bilanenko , Roman Pryma and Artem Pryma in the relay race. He also improved his personal best in the sprint to 61st place. The high point of the season was the 2010 European Biathlon Championships in Otepää. In the individual the Ukrainian was 47th, with Oleh Bereschnyj , Artem Pryma and Serhij Sednjew he just missed a medal in fourth place in the relay race. In 2011 he was able to participate in World Cup races again in Presque Isle. As the 51st of the sprint race, he was able to qualify for the first time for the pursuit race, in which he was 44th and missed winning World Cup points by just four places. He reached the World Cup points as 40th of the sprint a week later in Fort Kent .

At the Winter Universiade 2013 in Trentino he won silver twice, in the sprint and with Jana Bondar , Dmytro Pidrutschnyj and Iryna Warwynez in the mixed relay.
