Martshang Sherab Sengge ( Tib .: smar tshang shes rab seng ge ; * 1135 ; † 1203 ) or Marpa Sherab Yeshe ( smar pa shes rab ye shes ) was the founder of the Marpa - ( Tib . : smar pa bka 'brgyud ) or Martshang -Kagyu ( Tib . : smar tshang bka 'brgyud ) school, one of the eight small schools of the Kagyu school tradition of Tibetan Buddhism ( Vajrayana ).

He was a student of Phagmodrupa from the Phagdru Kagyu School.

In 1167 he founded the school's parent monastery, the Sho Monastery ( sho dgon ) in Kham .
