Rosso Canosa is a red wine from the Apulia region in Italy . The red wines from the area around the city of Canosa di Puglia had the status of a Denominazione di origine controllata (DOC for short) from February 24, 1979 . However, the denomination no longer exists. The name Canusium is often found on the label . This is the Roman name of the city of Canosa.

The wine is mainly made from the Uva di Troia grape variety (65% share). It is supplemented by the varieties Montepulciano and / or Sangiovese .
