Order of the Red Banner of Labor
The Order of the Red Banner of Labor ( Russian Орден Трудового Красного Знамени ) was a Soviet order for achievements in work or public service.
history
On December 28, 1920 the Russian SFSR established the Order of the Red Banner of Labor as a civil counterpart to the Red Banner Order . The purely Soviet donation of the award took place on September 7, 1928.
The medal
The order consists of a silver badge in the shape of a cog wheel, the motto “Workers of all countries, unite!” Is embossed on it. In the middle you can see a dam with a hammer and sickle emblem, underneath blue enamel for the water. This motif is framed by a wreath of oak leaves. Above it is a red flag with the letters СССР, below it is a red star between two golden ears of wheat.
The medal was initially worn without a ribbon on the left chest, later on a light blue ribbon with narrow dark blue stripes on the sides.
