The Rotgschirr (also Röllberg ) is 2270 m above sea level. A. high mountain in the Dead Mountains on the border between Upper Austria and Styria . From the summit you have a wonderful panorama over the plateau of the Dead Mountains as well as to the Hohe Dachstein and to the Almsee . The summit cross is at 2261 m above sea level. A. high south summit. At the actual main summit in the north there is a measuring point for aerial photographs.
etymology
The name is derived from the old German:
- Röll : rubble on a mountain roof
- Crockery : a rock torn by holes and crevices
Routes
The closest hut is the Pühringerhütte , which is located south of the mountain. A rope-secured, marked trail leads to the southern summit through the southern flank and is marked with the number 266.
