history
It was laid out in 1568–1596, expanded and rebuilt in 1848 and 1936. He gets his water from the Münzbach or the Müdisdorf Rösche. The dam is designed as an earth dam with a clay seal and tarras wall . On it is a harrow house with the only original harrow system. Below the pond is a so-called Rothbach water divider.
The Rothbächer pond fulfills the function of a compensation reservoir between the upper and lower water flow of the lower revier water run facility. In particular, the pond is used for the even distribution of raw water. In addition, the Rothbächer pond is used as a fishing water. The operating facilities are still in their historical condition.
