The Round Lake (English for Round Lake ) is a small, almost circular lake on the East Antarctic George V coast . It is the westernmost of the lakes at Cape Denison and is located 200 m east-southeast of the largest of the Mawson's Huts .
The Australian polar explorer Douglas Mawson named him during the Australasian Antarctic Expedition (1911-1914). The official recognition of this designation took place on March 7, 1991 by the Antarctic Names Committee of Australia .
