Rovčani
The Rovčani ( Serbian - Cyrillic Ровчани ), sometimes also referred to as Rovci , were a Serbian tribe named after the historical region and their settlement and rulership area Rovca . They belonged to the seven traditional highland tribes of the historical Brda region . These tribes, known as Brđani ("The Brđans") or Gorštaci ("The Highlanders "), which today are primarily known as the Sedam - or Sedmoro brda ("The Seven Hills"), always defied attacks by strangers in a defensive alliance Armies, especially against the Ottomans , and could not really be subjected to any foreign rule, whereby they preserved an essential part of the Serbian-Montenegrin traditions. As a result, they became significant figures in the Serbian epic heroic poems, which were written in the heroic tone and accompanied by the gusle . To this day, annual gatherings of the Rovčani descendants take place. Numerous members from all parts of the region come to Kolašin , mainly from Serbia and Montenegro , to take part in the meeting.
