Rowohlt red fox

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Rowohlt red fox , or rororo red fox , is the mascot of the rororo red fox series by Rowohlt Verlag and the main character in a comic series. The Rowohlt Rotfuchs was created by Jan P. Schniebel in 1972 and is still drawn by him today.

The first comic was a variation on the story Fox, You Stole the Goose . The fox does not eat the goose, however, but sells it to buy red fox books. Later the fox completely emancipates himself from the familiar literary and mythological references and makes his own jokes.
