Roy Kühne (born September 27, 1967 in Magdeburg ) is a German physiotherapist, politician ( CDU ) and a member of the German Bundestag since 2013 .

Life and work

Growing up in Magdeburg, Kühne passed his Abitur in 1986 at the local Geschwister-Scholl-Gymnasium. After his military service, Kühne completed a teaching degree in biology and sport at the Martin Luther University in Halle (Saale) from 1989 to 1994 . This was followed by his doctorate as Dr. phil. with the work: "Lifting and carrying under the kinesthetic aspect".

After further training as a qualified sports therapist and physiotherapist, he worked in a rehab center before settling in Northeim in southern Lower Saxony , where he has been running a health center since 1999.

Kühne is married and has two children.

Roy Kühne joined the CDU in 2005. Since 2007 he has headed the Northeim local branch, and the Northeim district since November . At the end of 2012 he was nominated as a direct candidate for the 2013 federal election for the constituency of Goslar-Northeim-Osterode . On the day of the election, he moved into the German Bundestag via 22nd place on the CDU state list in Lower Saxony .

In the 18th legislative period of the German Bundestag he is a full member of the Committee for Health , where he is the rapporteur for remedies and aids and responsible for non-medical health professions, and in the course of AussTourismus .
