Roz Chast

Rosalind "Roz" Chast (born November 26, 1954 ) is an American cartoonist and comic artist , she lives in Ridgefield (Connecticut) .

Roz Chast grew up in Brooklyn and studied painting at the Rhode Island School of Design . Since 1978 she has published comics and cartoons in The New Yorker magazine . Her work has been republished in more than ten volumes. In 2014 she received the National Book Critics Circle Award ("Autobiography") and in 2015 the Reuben Award and the Heinz Award .

In 2010 she was elected a member of the American Philosophical Society .
