Heinrich Daniel Ernst von Raders (* 1655 in Westphalia ; † 14 May 1731 in Lippstadt ) was Prussian major general and most recently in command of Lippstadt.

Life

origin

According to the Nederland's adelsboek , the Raders family is said to be descended from the Reder patrician family from Hamburg . His parents were Franz Otto von Raders and his wife Beata Elisabeth, née von Gaugreben .

Military career

Raders went into Brandenburg service in 1680 and became an ensign in the life guard . In 1686 he became part of the Brandenburg contingent in the Great Turkish War and took part in the siege of Ofen . In 1687 he was promoted to captain , on May 13, 1695 to major and on June 24, 1699 to lieutenant colonel . In 1703 he went to the War of the Spanish Succession where he fought in the Netherlands and Italy. During this time Raders was on July 26, 1705 Colonel and on February 2, 1707 commander of the battalion "Schlabrendorff". He thus succeeded Colonel von Mondesir, who had died near Turin . On January 22, 1710 he became a brigadier .

On June 23, 1713 Raders was appointed commandant of Driesen, but on December 4, 1713 he was transferred to Lippstadt. There he was promoted to major general on January 28, 1716 and on May 1, 1720 he established his own garrison company there. On August 18, 1726, the company was added to a battalion and stationed in Lippstadt and Emden . The major general died on May 14, 1731 in Lippstadt.

He married Cornelia Broen on February 17, 1692 (November 11, 1667 - April 4, 1737). The couple had at least one son:

  • Christoph (Christoffel) Ernst von Raders (* December 12, 1703; † November 11, 1785), Dutch lieutenant general, commandant of Doesburg ⚭ 1732 Wilhelmine Johanna von Grotthaus († May 29, 1784) from the House of Ledenburg
