action

Rubí is a lovely girl who lives with her mother Raphaëlle and her sister Christina. Her mother is a reserved, hardworking and traditional woman and her only wish is to see her daughters lead simple and quiet lives. She loves her two daughters, but feels closer to Christina.

Rubí was pampered by her father in her childhood and is used to always getting what she wants. Since his death, Rubí has been unable to accept the catastrophic financial situation her family is in. But her mother and sister do their best to make life easier for her. Christina, who works day and night, supports the family. Thanks to this inflow of funds, Rubí received a scholarship to continue her studies at a private university. She now has only one goal: to become a rich and envied woman.

At the university, she made friends with Maribel de la Fuente, a beautiful and above all very rich young girl. She lost the use of her left leg after a car accident in which her mother died. She lives with her father, Arthur, and her governess Paula, who watches over her because she mistrusts Rubí. Maribel believes that she found more than one friend, a sister, in Rubí. She does not see that Rubí is a salable and calculating young woman.

Because of her disability, Maribel is a shy young girl who lacks self-confidence. She meets a man named Hector on the internet. Hector is handsome, brilliant, rich and passionate, and a talented architect. Over the months, they have become more than just friends.

Hector, determined to meet Maribel, comes to Mexico City with his best friend Alejandro Cardenas, a young orthopedic surgeon . He is a confident, determined and intelligent man. Between him and Rubí, it's love at first sight. Rubí later learns from Maribel's father that Alejandro is not wealthy, which does not fit into her future plans. Rubí decides to realize her dream of wealth and, despite her strong feelings, separates from Alejandro.

Then she seduced Hector, who has meanwhile become engaged to Maribel. On the wedding day, Hector leaves Maribel in front of the wedding age and flees to Cancun with Rubí . But she cannot forget her feelings for Alejandro.

After a few years they will return to Mexico City. Alejandro is now a respected surgeon with good earnings, whereupon Rubí tries to win him back.

Throughout the whole plot we discover Rubi's suffering and the constant back and forth between everyone involved.
