The Las Estrellas (also known as XEW-TV ) is one of the major television channels in Latin America . The broadcasting center is located in Mexico City and has several relay stations throughout the Mexican territory.

Las Estrellas is part of the Grupo Televisa group of companies . In November 1951 the Canal de las Estrellas went on air. In 1955, the first live broadcast of a baseball game took place in Mexico from the 25,000-seat Parque Deportivo del Seguro Social stadium in the Colonia Narvarte of Mexico City. The commentators on this program were Roberto De la Rosa (camera), Roberto Kenny (director), Germán Adalid (assistant) and Pedro Septien (nickname "El mago").

Today Las Estrellas is considered to be the largest television station with the highest television audience share in Mexico and is also the main channel of the Grupo Televisa. Las Estrellas can also be received via satellite in Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. The current president is Emilio Azcárraga Jean .
