Emilio Fernando Azcárraga Jean (born February 21, 1968 in Mexico City ) is a Mexican entrepreneur.

Life

Azcárraga Jean is the son of Emilio Azcárraga Milmo and his third wife, the French Nadine Jean. After his father's death in 1997, at the age of 29, Azcárraga Jean became Chief Executive Officer of Televisa , the largest media group in Latin America. He is one of the richest businessmen in Latin America. His fortune was the 2009 Forbes magazine at 1.0 billion US dollars estimated. He is also on the boards of the Mexican telephone company Teléfonos de Mexico , the Spanish-speaking US media group Univision and the Mexican Grupo Financiero Banamex . He is also the owner of the football club Club América .

He married Sharon Fastlitch, a Mexican woman, in February 2004. Their son Emilio Azcárraga Fastlitch was born on February 19, 2005 in San Diego.

Azcárraga family

The Azcárraga family, of which Azcárraga Jean is a member, is one of the most important entrepreneurial families in Mexico. The brothers Emilio (Azcárraga Jeans grandfather) and Raúl Azcárraga Vidaurreta founded radio stations between the 1920s and 1940s, which later became Televisa. Raúl died childless, Emilio received his shares, which Emilio Azcárraga Milmo (Azcárraga Jean's father) inherited.

Another member of the family (a cousin of Emilio Azcárraga Milmo) was Gastón Azcárraga, who founded the airline Mexicana de Aviación .
