Rubiconia intermedia is a Wanzenart from the family of stink bugs (Pentatomidae).

features

The brownish colored bugs are 6.5 to 7.5 millimeters long. The surface is dotted with dense black. The head is arched forward, whereby the two cheeks protrude like two blunt points over the frontal wedge (tylus) and give the species a characteristic appearance. The front lateral edge of the pronotum is brightly colored. The lower end of the label (scutellum) has a light border.

distribution

The species occurs in the Palearctic . In Europe it is represented in France, in the Benelux as well as in Central and Eastern Europe. The distribution area extends from the southern foot of the Alps (South Tyrol) to the Baltic Sea. In Asia, the occurrence of Rubiconia intermedia extends to the Far East (Japan, Mongolia, South Korea).

Way of life

The fodder plants of Rubiconia intermedia include the forest ziest ( Stachys sylvatica ) and the narrow-leaved willowherb ( Chamerion angustifolium ).
