The Rubner Holding AG is an international company based in South Tyrol , the wood industry, timber construction, commercial construction, wood construction and wood doors is active in the fields. The third generation family business employs around 1,300 people at 19 locations in Italy, Austria, Germany and France.

history
In 1926 Josef Rubner Senior built the first sawmill powered by water power in Chienes . In 1960 Josef Rubner's sons, Paul, Pepe and Hermann joined their father’s timber business. In 1964 the production of wooden doors began in Kiens, and in 1966 the production of wooden block houses began there. Finally, in 1974 the Rubner Holzbau company was founded in Bressanone and the production of glulam glulam started. 1985 saw the start of production for the Rubner Residenz low-energy houses in Chienes. In 1990 Holzbau Sud was founded in Calitri and in 1994 Rubner took over the Nordpan company in Olang . In 1996, Rubner Holzindustrie was taken over in Styria and expanded into a modern sawmill. In 2002 the Nordlam glulam plant in Magdeburg was put into operation. The three founders Paul, Pepe and Herman Rubner died between 2004 and 2005. In 2005 the third generation took over the company with Stefan, Peter, Joachim and Alfred Rubner. In 2006 Rubner Glöckel took over Holzbau in Ober-Grafendorf and invested in a new glulam production line. In 2007 Rubner Objektbau was founded in Chienes to handle large-scale turnkey projects in wood construction. In 2008 Rubner put the Nordpan solid wood panel plant into operation in Strassen and in 2009 the Nordlam joinery center in Magdeburg. In 2012, the Rubner Haus and Rubner Doors competence center was opened in Chienes and the new glulam production line Nordlam 2.0 was put into operation. Nordlam in Magdeburg was sold to the Hasslacher Group in June 2017.
