Rudi Mika

Rudi Mika (born September 8, 1955 in Dortmund ) is a German musician, songwriter and music producer who lives in Dortmund.

Life

After graduating from high school in Dortmund , Rudi Mika studied musicology, philosophy and German at the Ruhr University in Bochum . He has been working as a musician, songwriter and producer in Dortmund since the 1970s. As a multi-instrumentalist, Rudi Mika played in various local Dortmund folk rock and rock bands such as Manderley, Störenfried and Fliegende Onkel Band, worked as a songwriter for Die Dschungelband and was on stage with the group Ape, Beck and Brinkmann. As a studio musician, he worked for Hanns Dieter Hüsch , Rocktheater Nachtschicht, Philip Boa , Fasia Jansen and Geier Sturzflug . From the mid-eighties onwards, Mika produced sound carriers with children's songs for the pläne publishing house with interpreters such as Klaus W. Hoffmann, Fredrik Vahle , Klaus Neuhaus, Ferri, Atze, Dorotheé Kreusch-Jacob and others. v. a. In 1990 he founded the label Igel Records, for which he has since produced over 600 CDs with children's songs and audio books.
