Rudolf Amon

Rudolf Amon (born January 4, 1891 in Vienna , † July 15, 1964 in Graz ) was an Austrian zoologist and hunting scientist .

Amon was in 1928 at the University of Vienna Dr. phil. PhD. From 1919 to 1945 he worked as a civil servant at the Lower Austrian State Museum and as a conservator for nature conservation in Austria. He was the founder of the Austrian working group for wildlife research in Graz and from 1952 to 1964 its honorary secretary general. Amon has published numerous papers on hunting science and nature conservation, including publications on fossil tracks.
