Rudolf Anděl
Rudolf Anděl (born April 29, 1924 in Šumburk nad Desnou ; † January 2, 2018 ) was a Czech historian and educator .
Life
After his school education in Turnov Anděl studied history and geography at the Charles University in Prague . He also successfully completed his doctorate there in 1969. Until 1972 he taught history at the Pedagogical Institute in Ústí nad Labem . From 1972 to 1990 he taught history at the Technical University in Liberec and also taught at the Střední školy - Seznam středních škol Liberec. He is one of the university professors who have significantly influenced the structure and development of educational policy in Liberec .
As a historian, he published several specialist articles and books, which mainly dealt with the early modern history of Northern Bohemia and Upper Lusatia .
For his achievements he was awarded the Medal of Honor of the City of Liberec and made an honorary citizen of Liberec .
