Rudolf Brüggemann

Rudolf Brüggemann (born January 9, 1860 in Salzdetfurth ; † after 1935) was a German chemist and entrepreneur who became known as the general director of Maggi GmbH in Singen (Hohentwiel) .

Life

He came from the Prussian province of Saxony and was the son of the master shoemaker August Brüggemann and his wife Friedericke. After attending elementary school and high school, he studied chemistry and pharmacy at the University of Jena for four years . After completing his studies, he stayed there for two years as an assistant. 1886 put Rudolf Brüggemann the state exam and in 1888 he graduated as Dr. phil. In the 1880s he published his doctoral thesis under the title On the action of sodium on the ethyl ether of normal and isobutyric acid . He then became an industrial chemist at Boehringer & Söhne in Mannheim. In September 1904 he switched to the Maggi factory in Singen am Hohentwiel in Baden.
