Aleix Porras Cantons (born September 11, 1999 in Lleida ) is a Spanish hurdler who specializes in the 400 meter distance .

Athletic career

Aleix Porras gained his first international experience in 2015 when he reached the semi-finals of the Youth World Championships in Cali and was eliminated there with 52.38 seconds. He then won the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) in Tbilisi in 52.52 s. In the following year he won the silver medal in 51.56 s at the European Youth Championships held there for the first time . In 2017 he came seventh at the U20 European Championships in Grosseto in 51.36 seconds and in 2018 he took part in the Spanish 4 x 400 meter relay at the World Indoor Championships in Birmingham , where he finished with 3:07, 52 minutes but not until the final. Then he reached the semifinals at the U20 World Championships Tampere , but did not start there. He also qualified for the European Championships in Berlin , where he was eliminated in the first round with 51.69 s. In 2019 he finished sixth at the U23 European Championships in Gävle in 50.45 seconds and finished fifth with the relay in 3: 07.62 minutes.
