Rudolf Brachthäuser (born October 19, 1921 in Hammerhütte , Siegen , † November 28, 2016 there ) was a German football player .

Career

Brachthäuser played in the boys' team of Sportfreunde Siegen as early as 1932 . His association membership lasted from April 1, 1932 until his death. At the age of 17 he was promoted to the senior team for the first time. During the Second World War he was stationed in Austria as a soldier in 1943. At that time he played for Austria Wien for nine months .

In the spring of 1945 he was seriously wounded in the last days of the war. He lost his right leg, which ended his sporting career. Later he worked at his home club Sportfreunde Siegen in various honorary positions. From 1946 to 1949, from 1957 to 1959 and again from 1967 to 1972 he was a member of the gaming committee. Later he took over the chairmanship of the honorary council .

Until 1992, the Brachthäuser, who also worked as the youth leader of Sportfreunde Siegen, was an assessor in the association youth rulings of the Football and Athletics Association of Westphalia (FLVW). The bearer of the merit pin of the German Football Association (DFB) last lived in a senior citizen center on Siegener Rosterberg .
