Rudolf Burgmann

Rudolf Burgmann (born July 29, 1874 in Ödenburg , † February 1, 1943 in Eisenstadt ) was an Austrian elementary school director and politician ( CS ). Burgmann was a member of the Burgenland Landtag , a member of the Burgenland provincial government, a member of the National Council and a member of the Federal Council . Burgmann was married.

Burgmann was born as the son of field warden Matthias Burgmann from Ödenburg. After elementary school he graduated from secondary school and the Catholic teacher training college in Sopron. He then worked as a primary school teacher and was also active from 1922 to 1932 as president of the Catholic teachers' association in Burgenland. From 1932 he was honorary president of the association. Burgmann was also the main inspector of the Catholic schools in Burgenland, was awarded the professional title of government councilor in 1931 and was primary school director in Eisenstadt.

Burgmann was a member of the Burgenland Landtag between July 15, 1922 and May 20, 1927. He was also the second president of the state parliament from July 15, 1922 to November 13, 1923. From January 4, 1924, Burgmann was also a member of the Rauhofer I regional government , before resigning on December 15, 1926. Burgmann was also a member of the Federal Council from July 25, 1922 to January 4, 1924 and from June 28, 1927 to December 10, 1930, and was a brief member of the National Council between April 30, 1934 and May 2, 1934. In addition, Burgmann was chairman of the Federal Council between December 1, 1929 and May 31, 1930.
