Rudolf Dollinger

Rudolf Dollinger (born April 4, 1944 in Telfes im Stubai ) is a former Austrian marksman and bronze medalist at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich and the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal .

Life

Rudolf Dollinger competed with the free pistol at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich and scored 560 rings. He was seven rings behind the Swedish Olympic champion Ragnar Skanåker and two rings behind the Romanian Dan Iuga .

Four years later, at the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal, the two GDR shooters Uwe Potteck and Harald Vollmar finished in gold and silver. Rudolf Dollinger won bronze again with 562 rings, making him the only Austrian medalist at the Olympic Games in Montreal.

Rudolf Dollinger has a doctorate in philosophy and worked in the cultural office of the Tyrolean provincial government.
