Rudolf Gabel

Rudolf Gabel (* 1907 ; † 1991 ) was a German architect .

Life

Rudolf Gabel grew up in the Rems Valley . He first made an apprenticeship as a carpenter and then attended the secondary school in Schwäbisch Gmünd . He then studied architecture at the Technical University of Stuttgart , where he worked as an assistant at Paul Bonatz 's chair .

Works

New buildings

In Heilbronn he designed the Wartberg Church and the Holy Spirit Church in Kreuzgrund , built the extension wings for the Heilbronn town hall and built the AOK building in Heilbronn.

Old buildings

Just as important for him was the reconstruction of important historical buildings after war damage, such as the Fischer'sche theater building and the Teutonic Order Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul .
